I'm having a right love affair with my dies right now. My two favourites by far are Tonic and Tattered lace and I am going to be needing my hands under my bottom or a bigger crafting room lol. They are coming up with such lovely ideas for dies its too hard to resist.
I am on my 3rd week now with jury service, one more to go. It is such a pain and very time consuming, the waiting about being the worst. I mean its taking away from my crafting time!!
The weather has been miserable, even cold! What's going one, May is usually lovely!
Its my birthday tomorrow and hubby is taking me out for a nice meal so looking forward to that.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend too.

Bags galore

I made this for Mother's Day a while back for a friend and never got to share so when I came across Tonic's new challenge blog I decided to blog it!

I used the Kensington Handbag die for this project and some gingham card and pink card. (Photo looks so different in each pic but its the same bag lol)
I made two little cards for inside, one with a nice Mother verse and the other showing the present.
I finished it off with ribbon and a Marianne butterfly die.
I have gathered up a right few Tonic dies lately so was extremely happy to see the new challenge blog! Best of luck to all the ladies on the design team, very inspirational!

Weather has been rotten here this week. After a gorgeous hot week we now have wind and rain and grey skies! Hope it cheers up for the weekend as my niece is getting married over in Wales.

I have been missing in action again but have a good excuse this time lol.
I am tied up with something official for the next four weeks.
As much as I am finding it very interesting it does hold up production and my life seems to be turned upside down with all the comings and goings. Hopefully I will be back to normality in 3 weeks.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope your lives are much more exciting than mine :)

So back to reality today, cleaning and crafting!! Thanks for dropping by and be sure and take time to enter at some stage this month for that brilliant prize.

Can't believe the weekend is upon us again! We had a lovely few days of sunshine and I took some time to sit out in the garden and enjoy it. Unfortunately the cold is supposed to be heading our way again tomorrow. The local kids are making their first holy communion tomorrow so I hope they at least get some sunshine for that. We have the wedding to attend next Saturday so here's hoping its not too cold for that!
I have a question for you ladies around my age or older (56). What foundation do you recommend for our age group? I want to invest in a new one but not sure what to go for.

Have a great weekend.

So I have now finished the initial Clean 9 diet and feel absolutely brill after it. I struggled on just two days where my cravings were really strong but I didn't cave. I have been eating very sensibly and very well since it ended on Monday and have lost 6lb into the bargain!
Just need to behave until the end of the month so I feel nice in my new dress for the wedding.
Hope you are all well. I have my little Grandson's 1st birthday coming up on Sunday and we are really looking forward to it. Where on earth did his first year go!!

Look at me back posting already lol. Must be the diet! Which by the way is going well, second day nearly over and tomorrow I get to each one big meal and two shakes so exciting stuff. I struggled today, not so much hungry, but missing the 'sit down with a cup of coffee' lol. Hopefully it will do me some good though. Missing out on sugar and coffee cannot be a bad thing for a while.
Have a great week.

This diet is from Forever Living and it only lasts for 9 days, more of a detox than a diet I suppose though there is not much food involved!!

I have been a very bad blogger again, time just seems to slip through my fingers. I am so unorganised and never seem to complete any jobs! Things need to change and hopefully they will soon. I really appreciate everyone who has taken time to leave me a very undeserved comment. THANK YOU! I will hopefully be back on form again soon.
Have a lovely Easter. Best go and tidy up as the family are due round later.

Flower Power reminder

I'm dropping by with a mid month reminder for our challenge of
There is a great prize up for grabs so be sure and pop over there.
It was my turn to challenge myself and do a technique I hadn't done before and I went with colouring with pencils on kraft paper, and using a bit of gesso as well!
I made this card for my Aunt's birthday. It is totally out of my normal cardmaking skills and definitely was a challenge but a lot of fun.

Items I used
Papers from a Papermania pad called Rose Garden, kraft paper, pink card, doilies
Stamps - summer flowers (geranium) from Creative Expressions, Happy Birthday stamp freebie from magazine
Coloured with Pencils and Sansodor solvent, gesso
Embellishments - lace, MS heart punch, Tonic rectangle die,  Tonic Flower punch and stamp, Tonic Leaf punch and stamp, bow, pre printed butterflies from Nitwits, letters from Papermania pad, pearls

I coloured my flowers and then set about making the flowers and putting the card together. This took way longer than the colouring lol, thought I would never be happy with it and finally settled with this!
Hope you get time to join our challenge and best of luck to you all.

We had lovely weather yesterday for St.Patrick's Day. Went to Mass and sang my wee heart out lol (thankfully they had the words on the screen or I wouldn't have remember the second verse).
The rest of the day was spent indoors as I took a funny stomach and was fit for nothing!
My grandkids are still away on holidays so looking forward to seeing them next week.
Have a nice weekend.

It has been pretty warm here this week, well between 8 and 10 degrees which is great for here lol. We went to Omeath today and walked along the beach. Bit overcast but very warm. Great to get a bit of quality time away from our daily worries.
Hope you are all having a nice weekend too.

Recipe for love

Finally getting this post to appear! Should have been up last Tuesday but better late than never.
The internet wheel of death is spinning slightly better tonight so I am rushing this on as quick as possible.
The image is the cuddly Teddy Bea, available in the coloured version and the black and white version. I opted for the coloured version and made up a little recipe to go along with her for a Mother's Day card for a Nanny/Great Nanny.
The papers are from Nitwits.
Pop over to the Teddy Bo  challenge blog for lots of fabulous inspiration and tomorrow there will hopefully be more from the girls.

Well did you all have a nice mother's day. I got way to much flowers and chocolates, feeling very spoiled. My daughter got me a lovely selection of tea and coffee, chocolates and candles. The boys got me flowers and chocolates.
Its my Dad's 39th Anniversary today, always a reflective day for me. I was only 17 when he was killed, a hard pill to swallow even after 39 years! So if any of you are partial to a bit of prayer please mention my Dad (Myles) in your prayers. I would be very grateful.
Have a great week.

I haven't posted in a while simply because
1. my internet has and is very poor
2. when I did get on it wouldn't upload my photos so not much point in posting without one.
Luckily, after a third try, and getting everyone else in the house off the internet I got this post prepared! So frustrating!! I will hopefully be back tomorrow with my Teddy Bo card which has refused to appear so far!
Hopefully everyone will have a lovely day and I'll send a hug for all those who are missing their Mum's today.
Thanks for dropping by.
