Its got very cold outside here this evening so my fire is burning away. We are just back from another wake here, my neighbours young nephew, only 22, dies suddenly on Tuesday. Its so so sad calling to a home where a child has died. I am just numb this week for both my neighbours.
But onwards and upwards, I don't want to be burdening you all and spoiling your weekend which I hope will be great for you. Have you all started (or maybe finished) your Christmas shopping?
I hope to get some done this weekend, wish me luck lol. Not my favourite task!
Thanks for dropping by.

Its been a busy two weeks, a lot has happened and none of it very good but onwards and upwards!
Everyone's health is improving, things are settling down, but bad news hit our estate last night when a neighbour got word that his son had been killed in a car accident in Australia. The shock of it hit everyone in the area hard, my heart goes out to the family who are really heartbroken.
I hope things are ok with everyone in blog land, I am sure you are all super busy but hopefully healthy and happy. I will get round to visit you all within the next few days and thanks so much for dropping by to see me.

Well we are all knackered after a very busy weekend. My daughter did amazingly well at the Con and really enjoyed herself once she got over the nerves!! She is heading off to stay with her friend in Essex tomorrow for a week and a half  (means a 4am trip to airport for me) so it will be just me and Squirt during the day, too quiet!
I have lots of crafting to do to keep me busy and I really want to have a go at making one of those half bauble decorations, so watch this space lol.
Hope your week is going well and you are all doing well.
Thanks for dropping by.

Trick or treat?

I made some little Trick or Treat bags for my neighbours kids who always call on halloween night to show me their outfits. I bought the bags from the pound shop and decorated them up using the scan n cut for the cobwebs and letters (first letter of each name) and a very old set of stamps I won from Town Scrappers a few years back, never even used before.

Well I caught the mice, two of the little buggers!! When I say I caught them, it was really my hubby and daughter lol. They took them up to the end of the road and let them go! Hopefully they will not find their way back again. Keep your doors closed this month as apparently this is the month they sort out a place to live for the winter...
Its my mother-in-law's birthday today. We had a little party for her here last night with the grandkids and great grandkids. She was well showered with lots of presents so I hope she has a lovely day today as well. Here is the card I made her.

So its been a gorgeous week of sunshine over here so far. Its been a joy walking the dog for a change lol. Long may it last. I have been crafting away, keeping my head down and trying to squeeze in the odd Christmas card. I really should join a Christmas design team, maybe make me produce them more!! My daughter's coffee business is extremely busy at the minute so I'm lending a helping hand in there too. You would all love the smells around this house, apple pie, chocolate, peppermint....the list goes on!

Christmas in September!!

Christmas alert, cover your eyes!!
I finally got to make some Christmas cards. Always dread starting them but once I get going there's no stopping me lol.
This is the first time I have used this globe die from Tattered Lace. Its a lovely die and makes a really nice card but the mechanism to get it to stand up is useless! I spent ages trying to get it sorted. My daughter eventually suggested putting a brace of card between the two flaps that were supposed to join together to hold it old. (they joined ok but the card would not stay upright). The brace has worked thank goodness.
